The Process

... Is a bit more personal for my clients. We start with the usual consultation that ends with a personal style quiz. This helps me understand what style my clients are looking for and communicate it to them visually. Then we break down contract deadlines, and meet back up for each round of edits until the client is satisfied. Take a look at some progress examples below and read what others have to say about hiring me.

Step 1
Step 2

A lot of rough drawings. I will show you many directions this project can go. At the end we will sit down and select three ideas to refine.

The three selected ideas are refined and brought back to be presented to the client. In this round of edits it's common for elements from different options to be Frankensteined together to create the ideal option. I disappear for a while before you see the next round of edits.

Step 3

It's happened before, and it will happen again. An idea the client insisted on at the beginning of the project didn't survive, but we found a better option we weren't expecting. The options I worked on have been refined. Frankenstein's monster has been stitched together from the best ideas. Finalized drawings are presented to the client. At this stage, it's almost perfect. Just one or two small touches need to be made.

Final Product!

The small touch ups have been completed. Everything is beautiful and refined! Once final approvals have been given by the client and final payment has been made all the files are sent along to their new home. Enjoy your artwork! And may they have a positive impact on the next seven generations.

"I've worked with many graphic designers over the years and my experience working with Stephenie Walker was like no other. Her approach to discovering what was in my mind was simple yet profound through every step of the process. By far she is the person I go to for all of my projects today! And from working with Stephenie to create my first book cover, I discovered things about myself (like my desire for negative space) that I have taken with me and implemented into other areas of my personal and professional work space. I highly recommend working with Stephenie for any of your graphic design projects no matter the size."
